下载PDF为给美国本土中文教师提供在职进修机会,帮助老师们获取美国中文教师证书所需要的专业学分,北京师范大学国际中文教育学院与美国新英格兰地区中文教师协会协商后,将于2025年暑期在北师大举办第二届新英格兰地区中文教师研修班。此项目旨在增加教师间的交流与互动,有针对性地加强和巩固学员们的中文基础知识,提升课堂教学能力和管理能力,通过各种实践活动和文化体验,帮助学员更深入地了解中国。新英格兰地区及其他州的中文老师均可报名。
注:此项目还在申请过程中,以下是初步计划,有可能变动,以最终审批为准。
一. 课程设置
本期培训均为研究生学分课程,尤其适合需要教师执照进阶以及跨越工资级别的公立学校老师的需求。课程内容包括汉语基础知识与教学、中国国情与文化教学、教师专业理念与发展、汉语作为第二语言教学技能、教学法、中外文化对比、AI辅助国际中文教学等。更多详细课程信息,请参考2024年研修班课程设置。
二. 学习时间
2025年7月2日到7月18日, 教学时间为3周。
三. 学分安排
三周90学时,两门课,每门3学分,总计6个研究生级别学分。各州学分认证的程序不完全一样,学员需根据各州的要求以及北师大提供的结业证明和成绩单进行学分认证。
四. 证书及成绩单
课程学习结束,完成课程要求,撰写并提交培训总结,由北京师范大学国际中文教育学院颁发"结业证明"及中英文成绩单(含课程编号、课程名称、具体成绩等)。
五. 项目费用
北师大将提供:
- 教师研修期间的学费、文化活动费
- 教师研修期间的住宿费、活动交通费
- 教师研修期间的的餐补
- 教师研修期间的保险费(学员自行购买北师大提供的保险方案,费用由北师大承担)
学员承担:
- 前往北京师范大学的往返机票及相关交通费用
- 签证费用
- 项目申请费$35,须在预报名申请时交。如项目取消,申请费将退还
- 项目筹备及管理费$300,学员接受录取时交;若学员因个人原因退出,此费用不予退还
六. 申请资格
美国大中小学及相关中文培训机构任教的非中国籍或持有永久居留卡的专兼职本土教师,有2年以上中文教学经验, 有志于长期从事中文教学工作,中文非母语者有HSK5级以上证书或相关在职证明。每位学员 3 年内只能享受一次研修资助。
七. 申请流程
- 3月1日到3月22日网上提交预报名申请
- 3月23 至 4月中下旬由协会进行申请评审,包括简短网上面试环节
- 4月底将录取人员名单转交给北师大
- 5月协助学员办理入京手续

To provide professional development opportunities for Chinese language teachers in the United States and to assist in acquiring professional credits required for U.S. Chinese teaching certification, the School of International Chinese Language Education of Beijing Normal University (BNU) will collaborate with the New England Chinese Language Teachers Association (NECLTA) to host the second Summer Training Program for Chinese Language Teachers in the New England Region and beyond. This workshop will be held at Beijing Normal University during the summer of 2025.
The program aims to foster exchange and interaction among teachers, strengthen and reinforce participants' foundational knowledge of Chinese, enhance classroom teaching and management skills, and deepen participants' understanding of China through practical activities and cultural experiences. Chinese language teachers from New England and other states are welcome to apply.
Note: This program is currently under application. The following details are subject to change based on final approval.
I. Course Design
This training program consists of graduate credit courses, particularly suitable for teachers in public schools who need to renew their teaching licenses and/or advance salary levels. Course contents include Chinese language knowledge and pedagogy, pedagogy of China's current situation and culture, professional teaching philosophy and development, teaching skills for Chinese as a second language, teaching methodology, Chinese and foreign cultural comparisons, AI-assisted Chinese language teaching, etc. Please refer to the 2024 course outline for further details.
II. Program Duration
July 2 to July 18, 2025 (3 weeks of instruction)
III. Academic Credits
Participants will complete 90 instructional hours over three weeks, earning six graduate-level credits (3 credits per course, two courses in total). Credit recognition processes vary by state. Participants should verify their state's requirements and use the certificate of completion and official transcript issued by BNU for credit certification.
IV. Certificate and Transcript
Upon successful completion of the program, including submission of a training summary, participants will receive a "Certificate of Completion" and an official bilingual (Chinese and English) transcript (with course numbers, course names, specific grades, etc.) from the School of International Chinese Language Education of BNU.
V. Program Fees
Covered by BNU during the program:
- Tuition and cultural activity fees
- Accommodation and activity transportation
- Meal subsidies
- Insurance (participants must purchase the BNU-provided plan, which BNU will reimburse)
Participant Responsibilities:
- Round-trip airfare and related travel expenses to BNU
- Visa application fees
- A non-refundable application fee of $35, payable upon pre-registration (refundable if the program is canceled)
- A $300 program administration fee, payable upon acceptance (non-refundable if the participant withdraws for personal reasons)
VI. Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be currently employed as a part-time or full-time Chinese language teacher in K-12 schools, colleges, or related Chinese language training institutions in the U.S.
- Be either a non-Chinese citizen or a U.S. permanent resident.
- Have at least two years of Chinese teaching experience and a commitment to long-term engagement in Chinese language education.
- For non-native Chinese speakers, an HSK Level 5 certificate or equivalent professional documentation is required.
- Each participant may only receive funding for this program once every three years.
VII. Application Process
- March 1 to March 22, 2025: Submit the online pre-registration form.
- March 23 to mid-to-late April: NECLTA will conduct an application review, including a brief online interview.
- Late April: Approved applications will be forwarded to BNU.
- May: Assistance with travel arrangements to Beijing will commence.
